How the Proofread-a-thon Will Work
We will work collaboratively through a curated list of definitions, with roles tailored to leverage different expertise.
Proofreader
- Role: Focus on detailed linguistic review, ensuring grammatical correctness, spelling accuracy, punctuation, and overall readability. You'll also conduct an initial check for clarity and consistency with wiki standards.
- Tasks:
- Correcting typos, grammatical errors, and punctuation mistakes.
- Improving sentence structure and flow for better comprehension.
- Ensuring adherence to the wiki's style guide and formatting standards.
- Flagging any unclear or confusing passages for further review.
- Verifying that all required citations are present and correctly formatted.
Content Reviewer
- Role: Conduct an in-depth review of content accuracy and neutrality, ensuring the definition aligns with legal principles and the wiki's NPOV policy. This role requires subject matter knowledge.
- Tasks:
- Verifying the factual accuracy of definitions against reliable legal and policy sources.
- Ensuring the definition presents a balanced and unbiased perspective, adhering strictly to the Neutral Point of View policy.
- Identifying any legal inconsistencies or misinterpretations.
- Providing constructive feedback on content that requires substantive revision.
