The Karnataka REAT portal was developed under section 4(3) of the Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA) Act, 2016. The department of housing, government of Karnataka is the nodal department for the implementation of the RERA Act in the state of Karnataka. All sections of the RERA Act came into force with effect from May 1, 2017. Under the RERA Act, the Karnataka Real Estate Regulation and Development Rules, 2017 was approved by the Government of Karnataka and notified on July 10, 2017.
E-filing
Every appeal can be filed through online system by the e-filing system facilitated in the RERA website by furnishing party details, id proof, address proof, email-id, mobile number and other necessary details required. The parties shall upload the contents of the Memorandum of appeal and application/s if any, or by way of uploading the same in the pdf form. The further details shall be found here
E-payment
Every appeal filed under sub section (1) of Section 44 shall be accompanied by a fee of Rs 5000 in the form of a demand draft or a banker’s cheque drawn on a scheduled bank or a co-operative bank in favour of the appellate tribunal or through online payment.
Cause lists
Cause lists are published on a daily basis and people can access cause lists from any date to any date by entering it in the date column. Daily cause lists give information such as total number of hearings on the particular day, petitioner and respondent name, appeal number, hearing date, hearing time and the bench that will be hearing the arguments. There is also a provision to convert it to pdf or excel format.
Case Status
Status of cases, complaints, orders, agents etc can be found easily by entering the details. Complaint number, complaint date, order date, petitioner and respondent name, project name, district, relief sought and ordered by are mentioned. The order issued is available in .doc format for the viewers.
