Our Mission
We make Indian law clear. Legal info is scattered and complex, so we offer reliable, accessible explanations from diverse sources. We empower citizens to understand and use legal concepts, building an inclusive knowledge resource on this wiki.
Our Approach
We believe in the power of community collaboration! As a community-driven volunteer initiative aiming to provide credible legal information, we work with law students, academics, legal practitioners, law firms, research and academic institutions across India.
Our Programs
The Student Research Associate Program
This remote, part-time certificate program engages Indian law students in building a research-focused wiki. Students compile and organize legal data, enhancing their understanding and research skills. Guided by experts and reviewed by the Judicial Data Collaborative, they create an accessible legal resource.
The Justice Definitions Edit-a-thons
We host Justice Definitions Edit-a-thons with Indian law schools, where students, mentored by experts, research and write wiki content. This collaborative effort empowers them to deeply explore legal concepts and contribute to a clear, accessible legal resource for everyone.
Legal Experts for the Justice Definitions Project
We invite Indian legal experts to collaborate, creating a reliable, accessible legal resource for all citizens. Experts will contribute their knowledge, crafting and reviewing content for accuracy and clarity, fostering informed understanding of the Indian legal system.
Legal Translators for the Justice Definitions Project
This program unites law students and experts across India to create an inclusive legal resource in regional languages. Legal translation professionals ensure accuracy. Together, we build accessible knowledge for all Indian citizens.
